Olin really should check their efficiency, 1 invite so far, and it has been a whole month, if I worked this slow I'd be fired long time ago from my work.

Though Olin's slackness impacted my plans and application to other schools, I wíll still optimistically put a brighter side here:

It could be that adcom is really making a holistic evaluation. That might take sometime.

Schools such as KF started sending interview invites to a number of prospective students without even they submitting the app. I find that disheartening specially when your website craps tha GMAT is just a pointer to evaluate.

Atleast i m happy schools like Olin are not looking to improve the avg GMAT of class primarily. Otherwise even with adcom travelling interview invite could be flooded.

No doubt about that, but still, one month? I do not think booth or stanford or hbs have a bad evaluation mechanism and make rush choices although they are faster (of course, one can always disagree with me), and do not forget that Olin has a smaller applicants pool. Moreover, I doubt any travel plans or stuff came up last minute, so if they knew early, the reasonable thing to do is to extend the deadline so people get more time to work on and perfect their application packages, not to hoard all the apps in their offices which they do not visit for weeks.

And I don't even think those tier 3,4,5,6 schools should be compared here. Olin is a good school, so I would say having a thorough evaluation and solid standard is a must, not a "oh wow I can totally appreciate them doing their jobs right!" type of thing.

You are right about the plans and everything. I admitted their slackness and delay. But atleast they did not forge by just sending interview invites on some basis. Rest all they could have managed much better

And with KF i meant Kenan Flagler, a well renowned school with a better ranking than Olin.

Nothing to offend you mate by any means. I can see how you start each week with a hope. And i m sure your day is near.

What? That is a good school? I keep getting their online MBA invitation LOL

I knew that, and no offense taken. But at the end of the day, they have to have some sort of basis for evaluation, and I do not know if taken extra time and use their own secret formula to decide who gets in is better than any other school's approach. MIT is slow as heck this year too, but even they are doing better than Olin, with 4 times the number of applications (although they likely have more people on their adcom, I doubt they got 4 times as many).

Anyway, I think this year Olin's efficiency sucks, and like I said, if I worked with this type of efficiency, I'd have lost my job long time ago. Good luck to both of us still.

Hope is a dangerous thing my friend. Especially with Olin.

Well if they conduct interviews in mid Novembers like most other schools....it will be tough for some people to schedule in person ones.

It is not true that no one has seen any interviews coming out. I do not know where you receive your information, but it is inaccurate. We have interviewed a number of candidates already and have plenty more that we will interview. Different schools have different timelines, and I cannot give you an exact timeline other than to say that we will honor our published notification deadlines.

Hah! What a coincidence! I gave a call to Olin and was eventually patched through to Mr. Evans. He even asked me if I were Olin2016 (I genuinely told him he had me mixed up with someone else :roll: ). I basically got an identical response from him on phone.
I guess the AdCom shouldn't be long in rolling out the invites now. :-D
