Looks like Owen extended the final application deadline to June 9th and the website says they will provide decisions to those between 7-10 days later. What does that mean for us on the waitlist? Do we think that will find out by June 19th?

I highly doubt that. Owen having to extend their application deadlines to June 9 is a clear indication that it will be a longer wait.

Pretty simple. They haven't hit their enrollment goal either due to low yield or not enough applicants or both. This is mainly them hoping for more US based candidates due to their recent jump in US news rankings.

Doubt any internationals are getting in from the waitlist.

The US has has ordered a halt to any new student visa interviews as it considers requiring foreign students to undergo social media vetting as part of their application to study in the United States

I just read that news and I’m looking further into it

BUT... wouldn’t expect WL conversion for internationals such after 1st

I doubt Adcom will tell anyone outside of their internal team anything about student visa news. It would put a target on their back for the new administration and/or anyone against the new administration.

They continue to say April 1 was the last deadline for international students, so I *again* will agree that if you are international and still on WL, it is more than likely a marketing tool to keep you interested + get you to reapply again next cycle - I just can’t imagine a world where there is still time left for a visa to get through for 2025 start.

Also, this chat skews very heavily international vs domestic applicants so I feel like anything here isn’t a strong indicator of anything likely to happen from Owen.

That’s okay, just get a ding analysis, know what you can fix and try again next cycle, which has already started. And you can get the ding Analysis for free at MBA Conquerors, it’s available for the next 3 days (not sure after the end of the month)
