Yeah, that number sounded absurd to me as well. Historically it's been much lower, as reported in P&Q etc. Could someone else from the Bangalore session share their thoughts on this one?

There is no way 90% is right. HBS's yield is 89% (followed by Stanford at 87%) - which is leaps and bounds ahead of any other business school (75% or below).

No one is tense about interview invites tomorrow? I'm a bit freaked out about not receiving the email.

I'm not sure how they calculated the yield, but businessweek puts the number at 51%, https://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings/full_time_mba_profiles/michigan.html.

I wouldn't worry too much about the yield at this point. Even if one were waitlisted and then starting thinking about the yield, there's still no way for him/her to use this factor except for raising some hopes. In any case, the yield is taken into consideration when sending out the admit letters.

I hope I get the interview invite, but don't want to stress about it, hence keeping myself busy with other activities (read as preparing applications for R2).

With Anderson's deadline just days away, I've had little time to think about the invite. But definitely, yes, it's running somewhere at the back of my head.

Here's something to take some of your stress away : https://www.drawastickman.com/episode1

Anybody know if they're releasing interview invites today all at once or if they'll be in waves?

From what I can tell from last year's thread, the invites roll out in waves and start later in the day.

Good luck to everyone!

At the infosession yesterday in new delhi, Bryan Johnson said that the invites will go out later this week.

So it seems we'll have a few more days of suspense.

According to last year's blog, they did ALL R1 invites on one day. I haven't looked at the forum for last year to see if they did additional invitations after that day.

Resource: https://rossblogs.typepad.com/admissions ... rcise.html

Quote from last year's blog - "On Monday, October 21 [2013], all Round 1 interview invitations will go out, including for those applying through the Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management. "

Strange, when they just did a blog post on Fri updating the date to today.

For those of you who submitted an application in Round 1, interview invitations will go out on Monday, October 20, not today (October 17) as I had posted earlier.

Good luck everyone!

To add to that, he was in fact surprised when I told him about the update (20th October instead of 17th) on the blog.
He said, "Well then I underpromised and overdelivered". Funny guy.

At once - I was an application in R2 2014 and no interview invites were sent out after the said day. So today is all that there is for Ross interview invites IMHO.
