Any applicant/admitted student for Schulich, please comment on this : - Do I mandatory need to include official email id while providing recommendation list ? - I had included personal email id of my supervisor, and he has already submitted the reco. The last time I had asked him, he mentioned he has not cited any work email id in the app.
Please advise if the above is a concern. What should I do ? Is there a way I should mention somewhere the recommender's official email id ?
- I've about 3 year+ work ex. Do I need an academic referee ?

Hi, I think work id is most preferred. I'm sure the online application would have asked for the current position of the referee and the company he/she works for? I think you'd best contact the admissions committee to see if they need this resubmitted from a work id. I'm sure there'd be an option to edit the email id and get this reinitiated. Normally work experience of 5+ Years means no academic references are required. This is the general norm. But I do not think MBA programs would insist on academic references if you are 3+ as academic references are mostly needed for MSc and other thesis related courses. Again, adcom is your best bet to give you a concrete answer.

What I meant is even if we mention the personal email id, the recommender has the option to include his email id either personal or/and work id (if mandatory) in the personal information form if any. In my case the reco has been submitted and the recommender mentioned that he mentioned his personal email id in the form which he got. So, that's why the confusion.

My supervisor has known me since March,15 and he has written a reco for me. Will that duration (March till now) be good enough for a reco ?
I would say, it will, for one of the recos. You could choose the other from another supervisor who has known you longer (if that is the immediate predecessor, super!). The main thing all AdComs seem to look for is that the recommender should have known you well at work and be able to speak of "Why You" convincingly. Looked at in another light, you would be better off than somebody who takes a reco from a superior high up the ladder just for the 'weight', when that person may not directly deal with/ know traits of the candidates. So all said and done, I guess a frank discussion with your current supervisor should work out well for you! IMHO!
