Hey Audgmat, I am really considering Schulich MBA and the IMBA. I'm a little bit inclined towards IMBA, but yet to make up my mind.
I'm also applying to Sauder and Desautels. Skipping Rotman as I hate the video responses. :/
Apart from these three, I'll be applying to Alberta, JMSB and Laurier and McMaster as safe schools.

Hey thanks for your answer ! Looking forward to send my application too. I met the assistant Dean 1 week ago at the QS fair and it really comfort me in my choice the school seems to be really what I expect.
Yeah I think Rotman application ask a lot of work ! But the school sound amazing as well, so I think it's worth. What make you choose only Canadian schools ?

Hey Audgmat, the main reason why I'm looking only at Canada, is that my wife also wishes to study, and it is a lot easier to get entry to Canada as a family.

Hello Friends..i just got some update regarding work permit for any student who are interested in doing part time job during studies.
Below is the response from Schulich INTERNATION Relationship Department:

Hi Prakash,

Thanks for your interest in the Schulich School of Business!

In response to your questions: Can an international student do part time job during first year of study ?
Here is the details-

WORK PERMIT:
· Degree-seeking students may work off-campus for up to 20 hours per week on a study term and full-time on a designated break term with a valid study permit.
· Students' spouses or common-law partners are eligible to apply for an open work permit.
· Upon completion of degree requirements, full-time students are eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit which is an open work permit valid for up to three years.
· There are several permanent residency alternatives available to students planning to immigrate to Canada after completing their studies.

Hope this might help someone :)

Hey everyone, here is one more on the Canadian bandwagon! Am also managing the threads for McGill & Sauder, so in case you have any queries that we can find combined solutions/ responses to, please feel free to use those fora.
I have had 2 long one-to-one meetings with Graham Sue, Asst Director Admissions @ Schulich. He is a really helpful guy and has answered so many queries I had listed out; hal;f baked the first time, well researched the second!
I also know another friend who joined in the 2015 fall intake. He says that going by the current 2nd years' opinion, Schulich is the place to be. They are much more easygoing than say Rotman, and strive to mix study with a fair deal of fun. Check out Olympia & Deerhurst events, for a peep!https://schulich.yorku.ca/client/schulich/Schulich_LP4W_LND_WebStation.nsf/page/MF+Student+Life?OpenDocument :)

Hi aankitfbd, Hi shyamnambiar

Welcome to this thread! Great to see our group growing :). shyamnambiar can you get some information about the placement records of Indian student there from you known friend.such as a percentage of Indian applicant got the job and average salary and location etc.
Although statics is provided on Schulich website but to know about Indians we need to check with someone studying there.

Have any of you here submitted the application yet? Any interview calls? I still have a long way to go as I was investing all my time in Sauder, my first choice.

I have a small question about the recommendation letters.
Do we need all the referees to use their official email ids ?

I don't think this is necessary, but it will give credibility if it is an official email id.

Have not been able to concentrate on this so far. Now with McGill out of my list, I'll be doing this with all my seriousness. Anyone got any invites yet?

Unlikely, for 2 reasons.
1. The R1 deadline is only 15 Jan, so it is too early.
2. They are busy with the final candidates before they close the gates for the Jan 16 intake; so wouldn't have started reviewing the first few early birds for the Fall 16 intake yet.
Enough time to make it to the deadline still! :)
