Here's to hoping that a large wave of interview invites goes out today...

I don't think it will though. I checked last year's thread and it seems that the same thing happened last year. People weren't updating their statuses until later so I don't think the 12% will hold in this case. Probably just a final trickle sadly.

Just curious, does he live near Palo Alto? Or within driving distance? Although I'm sure it doesn't really matter I think I would take the on campus interview especially if he hasn't visited yet.

Yeah, I'd say that this is a key oversight in my analysis. There are likely a few people out there who have gotten the invite but haven't updated yet. Running out of time to get the invite unfortunately!

I'm going to hold out hope a little longer and call end of day at 9pm PST. That's midnight on the east coast.

When I submitted my application, I had an error and had to email the admissions office. Someone responded to that email at 8:34pm PST on a Tuesday. Granted, it was the day before the application deadline, so maybe they staffed up for the occasion. In any case, I have proof that the admissions office works at least that late near deadlines. :)
