i am starting to think this as well... I checked the webpage source code and there are reference to two buttons called
acceptWaitPoolOfferButton
and
declineWaitPoolOfferButto

but for some reason they don't show

(ok I am an IT guy...)

there is obviously the chance that the code is there for the page in general and that this is a ding...

it's not over until it is over! best of luck!

noo, it's a ding... I probably caught them in the process of updating my page 8-) :P

Sayonara, Stanford for me as well.

Those palm trees and 70 degree winter days seem a lot sweeter now that they're officially not an option any more. Oh well - not meant to be (this year at least) for us. We'll all turn out okay I think.

Ding here as well. When this crazy process first started, I would probably have expected to be heartbroken. But I have since found my true dream school that is absolutely perfect for my chosen industry, so all is good in the world. I do believe Stanford's application helped me prepare for my others, and I actually found their questions to help me learn more about myself, so I appreciate that I went through it.

Best of luck all! Hopefully everyone gets settled on their right fit in the next month or so.

Love, Stanford.

Good luck to all who interviewed/were invited to interview! And thank you everyone for over-analyzing, over-thinking, and over-stressing with me. You made me feel like I was a little less crazy for doing it myself :)

To all the dinged people: I'm very, very sorry it didn't work out for you! I feel your pain entirely, since I'm a reapplicant from last year. Please stay strong! I truly, truly believe it's right what they say so often, that they just have too many applicants and it's not the candidate's fault, just the process. I'm sure you're all going to do wonderful things! Or who knows, maybe you decide to reapply next year and it works out! I've learned that Stanford is not unfriendly to reapplicants (like HBS or INSEAD, the latter discourages reapplicants). Rather, they'll take a fresh look at your app, saying there is no way for them to know what the applicant pool looks like next year.

Wishing you all the best!!

Ding. It stings, but nothing turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce can't cure.
