There is a sentence under my application status that says "Your application is complete and currently under review." Looks like this happened around 1/20 last year for everyone. Maybe interview requests will go out this week....... thoughts?

Roundel, I'm sure the first person here that gets an interview will post a message. Try not to stress out about it so much...go check out a book from your library or join a gym. You'll feel a lot better than sitting here pressing refresh (not to mention you'll be stressing us out less at the same time).

i have the same message as well. Stanford slowly extends invites, some coming as late as mid march. Hopefully all of us here get invites early, but more than likely, its going to be a long slow wait. Book idea is great, i just finished reading the books sway and too big to fail. I highly recommend them.

No word any interview invites yet....... My status is still "Submitted" too! Maybe there were no rock star applicants in R2 so they are taking their time to review applicants and determine who to interview. The person who was invited to interview on 1/20 last year was probably a rock star, like the person who was interviewed before the application deadline last year in the first round.

Anyone has an idea of the profile of THE "rock star" who got invite on Jan 20 last year?
I searched last year's thread, only found out that she got a 740 GMAT.

She should have either bright entreprenership exp. or extensive and impressive extra-cur.

I doubt that she got an interview early because she was a "rock star" compared to other interviewing candidates. I'm assuming they read applications in a random order and she was probably among the first batch. That's all. I wouldn't read anymore into that. Stanford just seems to be a bit slower this R2. They interviewed candidates REALLY early for R1 and even R2 of last year but no one has reported an interview invite yet and it is now the 25th of January. For whatever reason, they are probably just moving slower this round.

since i know the feeling all too well, i will fight off the urge to say "relax", and just note to everyone here that i did not get my interview invite until march 5 of last year (i just looked it up) and that i did not get "the call" (that says you are in) from derek bolton (our admissions director) until the day after calls were technically supposed to have been finished.

@oneofmany - This is a PUBLIC forum. As long as it is not offensive, people can post ANYTHING they want. This might be a stress buster for many- just like a trip to the Library might be for you. It is up to individuals to choose to feel stressed by GC user's posts.
