I just realized that my status says my app is complete and currently under review!

Stanford does not issue emails to notify us about the advancement of the application? Should I check daily my status for an invitation?

Padawan, most people's (I think everyone's) status was changed to that soon after the application deadline. The status won't change until they reach a decision on whether they want to interview each of us, at which point they'll send us an e-mail and update the status online. General estimates are that the interview invites might start some time next week (based only on past rounds' precedent and speculation...AdCom hasn't communicated a timeline).

I won't share much to respect her privacy but I can assure you that she is top 5% in every aspect of her application. UG school, GPA, GMAT, Career & progress, recommendations, Int'l experience, EC. I haven't seen her essays, so can't comment on that.

For the privacy of my friend, I can't share much except that she scores probably top 5% in every aspect of her application. UG school, GPA, GMAT, Career & progress, recommendations, Int'l experience, EC.

Well 5%<6.5%, so that makes sense.

Stanford, giving the top 6.5% lives of meaning.

That is their motto, right?

Got my invite today. I'm still pretty shocked and really excited.

One thing I'm wondering about is that everyone says it's the rockstars who get the early invites. I'm not sure if Jan 31 counts as early, but I wouldn't have guessed that I fall into that category. Is there any actual evidence that they get early invites, or is it purely anecdotal?

For those who have gotten in or had interviews, any advice you can offer would be HUGELY appreciated.
