Did anyone check the Wallstreet journal yesterday? There was a front page article on David Tepper.His fund made a profit of $7 billion.

He belongs to the class of 1982 and made a gift of $55 million in 2004 to the business school.It was then renamed as Tepper.

I read that article too. Wonder what he's going to buy next. In 04 it was the school, then a chunk of the Steelers, now he can buy all of Pittsburgh.

2) Is anyone interested in the Entertainment Technology Center?
3) Does anyone intend to take courses at Heinz as well?

Why the questions? I deferred a MPM and am an aspiring creative entrepreneur.

If international loans are finalized will you still lean towards Tepper? Just wondering if/why you prefer one school over the other.

Without the loan thing,it will be hard for me to decide. I did not get any $$$ from either school.I'm trying to meet alums to arrive at a decision.

I am interested in the biotechnology/healthcare and entrepreneurial focuses at Tepper. However, I'm not sure about the concentrations right now...it really depends on what the capstone projects are. I hear that the default capstones project (management games or something like that) is an incredible experience that many alumni feel was the single best thing about the program. I may end up simply taking the courses I want and then participating in the default capstone project.

The Heinz program has some interesting looking classes on healthcare policy. With all that is going on with healthcare reform right now, I am certainly interested in those courses.

I hear that the default capstones project (management games or something like that) is an incredible experience that many alumni feel was the single best thing about the program. I may end up simply taking the courses I want and then participating in the default capstone project.

I took this course as an undergrad (it's basically the same for MBA students). I can easily say that it was my favorite course at CMU.

Congratulations on your acceptance and thank you for the feedback. I'm really interested in the courses on creative enterprises. I'm so so about the capstones just because I want to work on my own projects. You'll have to share your experience. On healthcare policy, Heinz courses should suit you well.
