Yes but every one with good work experience at a T15 from my undergrad this year got jobs. Tesla, Amazon Doordash Apple Hyly tech companies basically. Those that were in supply chain got supplh chain role those with operations got pathways amazon etc. No one i know got consulting or IB. So i guess barring those two which are very comoetitive and wild cards if you have 5 6 year WE and are in T15 you will get a job maybe not 200k one probably 120 to 150k range if you dont have alot of debt and dont plan on maintaining very high lifestyle in HCOL area you will be fine

Finance people got tesla to from Harvard. Basically no career swicth and apply to companies or roles that dont do layoffs

Exclusively t15 is it? Not t20 or t25?

I see thanks
Still could be survivorship bias. I know 1 who couldnt land role but he went to singapore in banking so still good. Its just that you should have prior experience and be ready to do the job. People from software engineering background though seem to struggle more. In those fields there are issues regardless of program

Or even non software engineering like Oil and gas Background etc

Okay I was going through chats and couldn’t resist myself. Not sure what the whole conversation is all about. True 325 is a good score. From my personal experience having 339 gre and still didn’t get invite from one school in R1. Therefore its not just gre, gpa, work ex. Its whole application. Not just one fact is going to decide. So if anyone have 320+ gre, just apply without thinking you have low score
Yep
The conversation was about how to overcome a low GPA and how to apply to M7
Anything around 330 is the target for M7 with a low GPA

I might be a little off, but that is what I have heard!

Hey guys, great conversation we had yesterday. I suggest attending MBA Fair, this would be a great place to talk to Adcoms and ask any questions you might have.

Those applying in R2, there will be a bunch application fee waiver too!

Siri, I think we’re saying the exact same thing. My point is that after a certain point you should really focus on the rest of your application. I can tell you right now that my GPA was probably a lot lower than yours and my received was significantly lower and I received invites from t15s. What I’m trying to say is you should really prioritize everything

If you had a 339 GRE and you didn’t receive an invite from one school then to be honest with you that 339 score is probably the only good thing about your application. Did you run and manage an non for profits? Did you visit campus? Did you talk to people? What is your work experience? What is your impact? The only thing you mentioned here was your test score, something this site seems to really emphasize on.

Of course, at every event adcoms talk about holistic view of the application ad nauseam. If everything is pretty balanced then you dont need crazy high scores. However, if gpa is lower than avg, it can only help to boost test scores, which can also impact scholarships. Yet for ORM test scores are indeed important because there are many people with balanced profile and crazy high test scores.

My gpa is lower than class av and my test score is too and I received invites

I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again if you’re an Indian male applying from India. This probably is not gonna apply to you and I empathize that

From what people have told me, my work experience was probably in the top 10% in addition to ECs. It may have carried me. Also went to a really strong undergrad (I’ve heard that helps)

My friend say to be honest if you have a bad GBA, but you worked an investment banking you should get a pass because the job is so tough that it shows outcomes that you can handle the work.
