Howdy folks,
Longtime lurker here. I applied to McCombs in late March, interviewed in late April, and still have not hear back. When I contacted them a few weeks ago, word was that I should expect to hear something in the week of the 24th, if not before. Anyone else in the same boat--not waitlisted but just waiting for a response?

LOL..that was a good one krnguy. I needed it. Spoke w/adcom today and they said that orientation deposits are due 6/15. So nothing new than what we already knew, I supposed. It will be a few more weeks.

Interesting, I was under the impression that they originally said by June 15. But it sounds like now they are implying probably no word until after June 15?

Well to be totally honest, they said they might be making decisions around the 1st and 2nd week of June. But my interpretation was that they are not going be making ALL decisions by then because I imagine they'll keep the waitlist still going in case the accepted students wait until the last minute (or even after 6/15) to drop out.

I feel like I keep kicking the can down the road with these schools.
I'll hear something in a week.... wait 2 weeks.... nope 1 month. At least Texas is giving us some info; UNC and Duke have said nothing at all.

Does anyone know if all Waitlist individuals will receive some form of decision on their application? Or will some just remain in a state of eternal limbo / uncertainty? :|

Orientation registration for the Class of 2012 is up to June 18th, not the 15th as someone mentioned.

And some people are still joining the Class website (not that many though lately).

Thought there might be some movement today. Seems like the longer there is no word on the waitlist the greater the chance that the class is currently full. I read on other forums that yield at some of the top schools was unexpectedly high (for instance, apparently Tuck has asked some accepted students to defer). Think that trickles down to bad news for us?

Yes, I think so, based on very limited factual information and mostly instinct. I keep hoping to hear back but I think the reality of it is that bad news is coming. Or when they do finally make a decision, the timing is so off (end of June) that I'll be forced to move on before then.

I called yesterday to tell them I was sending in a new transcript for a class I have taken. They said that decisions will be coming in mid-June. Pretty consistent with the information on here.

Have not heard anything here! Just heard that a decision would be mid to late June is all. Hoping it's closer to "mid" than "late" because I'd love to know their decision before I lay down another deposit! :-D
