Yea perhaps its just different schools. It was sounding like Kellogg was getting hammered this year, and Chicago was very tight.
On McCombs, does anyone know what the significance of the Jan 15th deadline is? I'm trying to finish up my app, but my recommenders are dragging their feet. Just wanted to get a feel for when does it cross into "too late" in rolling to submit?

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I really do like the Texas program, and it would be great for a number of reasons including geography and in-state tuition. However, I applied round 2 to both Wharton and HBS and having to accept an offer on February 15th would not be ideal. The status update states that there is no specific time frame for coming off the waitlist. My best bet at this point appears to be staying in contact with the admissions committee to make sure they know I am still interested. In addition, I'm considering approaching a high profile alum to see if he would be willing to make a phone call or two even through the letter states they won't consider additional LOR's.

I have not submitted my official transcripts yet. I submitted everything else on 12/5/2009. The Status Check page has the following message.
"Our records indicate that we're missing the documents listed below. If we do not receive these documents by the application deadline, we cannot make a decision regarding your application."
Does this mean, my application will not be reviewed till they receive my transcripts? Does anyone have experience with this scenario?
