I'm trying to figure out what I should do if I get into UCLA. It would be a tough choice between UCLA and McCombs. Even though UCLA is ranked higher, something felt really good about McCombs when I visited.
Where (geographically) do you want to work after graduation? I think outside of the Top 3 schools (depending on your definition of Top 3) everyone else is pretty regional...with many slanted towards NYC. For example, Stern is a great school but I wouldn't go there since I want to live in Texas after graduation (and get an internship in TX during the summers). While I could find a job in Texas coming from Stern it would require a lot more leg work than had I gone to schools like McCombs, Rice, SMU...even though those are seen by many as not as prestigious. Same thing applies here. Now if the answer is "i dont know" then I would start boiling it down to the different program offerings.
Maybe that's obvious, but just something to think about.
