On a different note: did anyone actually go business casual to their interview? Texas claims that all interviews are business casual unless in a location that is business professional.

I want to know b/c I'll be going right from work and I am not wearing a suit to work (nor will I be able to change beforehand). I guess I can rock a tie and a jacket...but I wanted to know if anyone actually felt bus. casual was ok for a McCombs interview.
This probably ultimately comes down to what you're comfortable with. At my on-campus interview, the 2nd year who interviewed me was business casual (slacks and shirt, but no tie or jacket). We used an interview room in the MBA office. I still wore a suit and tie, but I'm one who prefers to overdress in these situations to be safe. I think a tie and a jacket would probably be okay though. I had my suit on for the whole Texas MBA Friday, and almost everyone was dressed business casual - I think there was one other person wearing a tie. But I'm not sure if how many (if any at all) had an interview the same day; none of the people I talked to had one.

Then again, if you're interviewing with a local alum, I'd definitely wear a suit.

I wore coat and tie to Tuck rather than a suit, and that was supposed to be formal. I feel like that's the safest way to play it -- down the middle -- not too dressy or too casual.

Good luck. Jealous of all w/ invites, not gonna lie!

For those that requested off-campus interviews, did you get a confirm of any kind that your request was sent? I hit "send" and the page just kind of went blank. That was about 36 hours ago. Just want to make sure I don't need to findsomeone else or go the on-campus route.

Same here. Ok not same, I applied on 15th jan,
as of today my application says "We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review." I hope I will hear from them shortly because I am tired of waiting.

My transcripts went in late (1/19) but that is still 2+ weeks ago...

I'm exactly the same. They fumbled my GMAT's and transcripts until the 21st. Perhaps that's part of the reason we're backed up? Just trying to be positive about it!

Same with me. I know my transcripts got there on 1/14 (receipt from college) but UT posted them with a date received of 1/19.

Just called -- they were very pleasant, looked up my account, and basically said that everything was in order and that I needed to be patient. For whatever reason, my materials have still not been forwarded on yet for review by adcom, but will be hopefully soon.

Is anyone having trouble with the status check Web site? When I click on Application Status Check, it just opens another of the same page in a new window rather than taking me to the Dean's letter.

I've noticed this too - there is some strange link re-routing behavior when you go back and forth between pages. I've found that you can always check both pages (the application materials, vs the Dean Hirst page) by logging in fresh from this link:

I wouldn't worry about it. Even after I was accepted, my status check continued to do the circular re-routing thing for probably a month until it switched over to notifying me of their decision.
