congrats!! what was your profile like if you don't mind
Texas received all my materials 12/25 Texas sent interview request 2/15 Texas interviewed me (alum off-campus) 2/19
Still no word...I called their admissions office and left vmails for two people and one called me during the minute I was in the elevator and my phone didn't work...I called her back, but she was away...guess the waiting continues
We should start a support group for people with 760 GMAT's who get waitlisted at Texas. I have a feeling that they think we are using them as a safety. For me that certainly isn't the case.
For anyone else waiting (with similar submission dates, etc), I heard back from admissions and was told that I should expect to hear a decision sometime before March 30th. I haven't heard about an interview invite, so unless it happens soon, it doesn't bode well.
Regarding access to the admitted students page, I received a second email alerting me when it was active. I was accepted on a Friday and it came early Tuesday.
Thanks Merkin. Unfortunately, all of those numbers go straight to a voice mail, where the person states, "Please e-mail us..." Hopefully I'll get some good news this week - keeping my fingers crossed.
I had a small clarification on accepting the invite -
What all is needed to accept the invite? I may have to wait until last minute (Mar 15th) before accepting the invite since I am waiting on another school. Certainly don't want to miss on this one in case the other one does not go through.. Do I just need a credit card and I should be good accept?
question to everyone.. is there any way to confirm that the interview evaluation stuff was submitted by my interviewer (alum) ? Aside from calling them and asking that question, of course..
Just got out of my interview - it was very conversational and actually fun!
The alum said that going to UT was the best thing that ever happened to her. Rankings aside, it is great to hear first-hand perspective on a school... definitely makes me want to attend Texas more.
Good luck to all those still to have your interviews!
Dinged. Applied Jan 15th, interviewed Feb 8th, dinged March 9th. Found out from the status check site. I'm a re-applicant so best of luck to those at UT, I'm not going for a third round of punishment from this school next year.
I had a 660 GMAT (6.0 AWA), 3.2 GPA from top 20 school, 4 years of good work expereience, and a lot of extracurriculurs (both during and post college) and was accepted.
