Guys, I'm a bit confused on reading the posts related to Mastercard payment and Transcript upload. Could someone please clarify the following for me :

1) Do we need a Mastercard Credit Card for paying the application fees, isn't a Visa Credit Card enough ?

2) Which are the places where we're supposed to upload the transcripts, and how many times ?

Regards,
Subhash

1) Do we need a Mastercard Credit Card for paying the application fees, isn't a Visa Credit Card enough ?
Sadly, no. A Mastercard is definitely required. If you have no way to get a MC, contact UT Adcom, they'll assist.

2) Which are the places where we're supposed to upload the transcripts, and how many times ?
First time, along with your application. Second time, after completing your payment, into the GIAC panel. Totally, twice

It is assumed that all round one interview invites have gone out? I applied for round 1 and haven't heard anything as of yet.

I doubt all of them went out yesterday. Based on last year's thread, It looks like a lot went out on day 1 and a decent amount went out over the next few days with a few more spanning the time period between day 1 and decision day. I know it's cliche, but you really can get an interview just a few days before the decisions go out.

Also, for my app, I turned it in a few days before the deadline and live in the Northeast US, so I'm not sure if that adds any value to determining who got invites when.

Can anyone suggest good resources to prep for a Mccombs interview? Did not find much on the official website outlining the interview process.

Looks like only domestic applicants got the interview call from McCombs. Is there any Indian applicant with the interview call? If yes, can you please share your profile.

What does it say on Mystatus page? mine says 'In review'.
Actually I got a mail from GIAC a few days ago asking me to upload my transcripts again. I think that is why my status is still in review. What about others?

I'm an International applicant and got the invite last week. I'm an Indian, staying in the Middle East though.

Profile: Gmat 700; 3yrs WE; 8.2/10 GPA; Entrepreneur

And don't worry guys, invites keep going out till 2'nd week of December it seems, so just keep your fingers crossed!

My application status is also 'In review'. On the header it says, "Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review."
Did you upload transcripts twice on GIAC site? Guys, Any idea why still none of the international applicants got an interview call?

Can u tell us the source from where you came to know that invites will keep coming till 2nd week of December?
But the decision date itself is December 2nd week right?

Google, blogs, BTG, Gmatclub, forums and word of mouth itself buddy - and based on the usual trend followed by all universities :)

This may not be the right time to ask this question but does any one have an idea of financing options for international students available at McCombs?

I heard that the student loans are not available for international students.. is this true?

Here is a link to UT's International Student & Scholar Services website.
https://world.utexas.edu/isss/students/financial-aid

It has some details about additional financing options for international students.

Has anyone else had a hard time scheduling an off campus interview? I reached out to one of the listed alums over a week ago and haven't heard anything back. Not sure when to cut bait and email a different person.

Especially with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up (I'm speaking from a USA perspective, may be different if you're an international applicant), I think there are a lot of alums that might be out of reach. I had to try 4 alums before I finally got mine scheduled. If it's been a week, I would reach out to another. Give it 2 business days for your second choice, and then try another until you get a response. Considering the deadline to complete the interview is Dec. 2nd, I would seek out more options just in case, but remain professional and communicate the sense of urgency if one alumni responds after you receive confirmation from another.

I have an offsite interview next week. Would like to hear if anybody has been interviewed by an alumnus (yes, that's the male singular for "alumni" :-D ), and whether if its any different from an Adcom interview?
