I agree! I dont think any of the top schools would actually increase enrollment. By doing that, they invariably increase their acceptance rate (compared to their peers) and lose some spaces in the rankings, case in point, Fuqua from a few yrs ago. They fell from the top 10 whn they increased their enrollment last.

Ninkorn, if u read that article, it clearly states that Tuck's Dean said that none of the top schools would likey increase enrollment. Rochester is the only one mentioned and it started doing it before the current crisis began. I agree with cereal that I would not like Tuck and other top schools to change their enrollment just because the number of applications have increased.

yale is increasing their enrollment nominally. I think they said they're going from like 190-195 to 195-200 as a target or something like that. I agree though, if tuck increased their class size by much I wouldn't have been anywhere near as interested. As it is if I get dinged from tuck and admitted to my safety I might consider waiting a year.

Perhaps... man, that will make it a stressful week. That is, unless I get an admit call on Monday morning!

Here's to hoping! :good

I hope they inform us before sunday (and I am accepted)! Would save me the hassle of flying to Darden for my interview. I love darden, but Tuck will always be my 1st love!

On second thought, i hope they dont inform us before monday evening. If they ding me, i ll be totally upset and i might mess up my darden interview.

From what I've heard tuck doesn't call before the deadline to give out admits or dings or waitlists. I doubt we'll be hearing from them before 19th. Does anyone else think/know differently?

I've heard the opposite. Tuck waits til they have all the decisions in hand, then releases them all at once. But they do it whenever they have them all ready, whether that's before (on BW someone said 2005 was 10 days before) the deadline or not.

While we are all dying (literally for some ppl) to hear from Tuck, here are some useful info related to Tuck's admin process (on Tuck Blog):

Hilarious. Now only if the "underground house" was the Tuck business school, I'd happily come up with the world's worst gift ever.

According to last year's thread right before EA decisions were released everyone who got dinged received this email... so I don't know if it's the same this year.

Though, admittedly no one from EA on GMATClut got accepted last year so who knows. I don't know how to search the archives on the BW forum to search that thread.
