Thank you
I was waitlisted in round 2 and I’ve an offer with Georgetown . Do you think i should go in with Georgetown or I should wait for tuck ?
Congrats on the Georgetown offer ! It's a good program too, especially known for consulting, finance, and international business.
On the other hand, Tuck carries a stronger global brand, particularly for consulting and finance careers. It boasts one of the most loyal and tight-knit alumni networks among business schools worldwide. The cultural experience at Tuck, with its strong focus on collaboration, leadership, and community, can be good.
Regarding Tuck’s waitlist trends, it is important to understand that while Tuck does admit candidates off the waitlist, the movement is limited and unpredictable. Less % of waitlisted candidates are eventually admitted, and the movement might happen late, after the deposit deadline when admitted candidates confirm their seats. If you were waitlisted after an interview, it signals that Tuck considers you a serious candidate, but understand that the competition remains intense, and outcomes can vary. Consider networking with Alumni for your satisfaction.
Given this, you need to weigh your risk tolerance carefully. If securing an MBA seat this year with certainty is your priority, accepting Georgetown would be a safe and sensible choice. If, however, Tuck is your absolute dream school, you have shown continued interest in the program, and you are willing to take the risk of remaining without a confirmed MBA offer for a few more months, you might consider waiting.
Ultimately, the choice depends on how much you value the Tuck brand and whether you are comfortable with the uncertainty. Best wishes
