what does waitlisted mean exactly? is there a certain timeframe you have to wait until you know for sure whether you can get in or not? or do you basically have to wait until the first day of classes to know if you have a spot or not? do they tell you what # you are on the waitlist?

It's not clear what number I am or when I will find out. Here's what it says: "Although we think highly of your profile and your potential fit with our program, we are unable to offer you admission at this time. You may supplement your application with additional information that you decide is relevant and helpful to our evaluation (this is not a requirement for further consideration). If you choose not to remain on the waitlist we ask that you inform us of your decision so that we can better serve those who do maintain this status." After visiting all my schools, I felt that USC wasn't the best fit for me, so I'm not too upset- it's just a little blow to my ego.
