I checked the open interview slots on-campus and did a simple search n replace and found 128 open slots available.. this is only until the 28th of this month. they havnt opened the next week until 6th Mar... i didnt count hub interviews ... I dont know the ratio between hub interviews/alum interviews and on-campus interviews but I assume the former will be sizeable. the on-campus has 3 to 6 parallel tracks on almost all days. So hang on in there...

rajpdsouza - do other schools (Harvard) send most most of their interview invites out on the last day as well? Curious if that's unique to Wharton or not.

My educated guess is that with the increase in applicants, schools are forced to work harder and longer to meet deadline. Therefore, I think it is pretty common for schools to send out invites closer to the deadline.

Hey UTdub, according to Harvard's website, the majority of invitations will be out by the middle of February. This doesn't mean that no applications will go out after the 15th of this month, it just means that most will have been given out already. As for other schools, I really can't say how the increase in application volume is going to affect the timing of invations. Probably depends on the school and whether it is rolling or not, etc etc.

Thanks nyrberg. I saw that on the HBS website about the majority being sent out by the middle of the month. I was just curious if a large portion of those invites were to be sent the last week (this week I assume) or if it was evenly spread out?

Does Harvard have a cutoff like Wharton and Chicago do (i.e., you will know if you have an interview or a ding by XX/XX/08)?

Yes, Harvard has a notification date of March 26 for R2. Last round, according to the director's blog, they did send out a handful of invitations up until and on the R1 notification date which was January 16. So basically, hope is alive until March 26......... :shock:

For those that received interview invites (R1 or R2) --

I am unsure whether I want to interview with an alumni or on-campus. If I choose, for instance, "on-campus" on the website to look at dates, am I locked into this choice? In other words, can I choose one option, look at the locations, days/times, etc. and then go back to the previous screen without submitting my choice?

It's a little different than other sites because the site asks you to "agree" to certain provisions before proceeding. Thanks...

If you check agree you aren't locked into anything. For some reason, you just have to check agree to look at open time slots. You can still go back and look at other locations, etc, etc. I was thinking the same thing but wasn't too worried because I knew I was doing an on-campus interview.
