Any idea when the Wharton Round 3 interview decisions are expected?

May, 12th.

https://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/admiss ... -dates.cfm

I meant interview invites sorry.

Last year, Round 3 deadline is March, 8th or 9th. And interview invites went out from April 6th to 13th.

no shuttles from the airport to upenn. there is a regional rail train from the airport that will take you to 30th street station in philly. huntsman is just a 6-7 block walk from there. a cab is a flat $28.50.

Or you could get off at 30th and cab it from there. Cabs are pretty cheap in Philly. $7 for the train (you pay once you get on the train), I'm guessing about $6 for the cab, if even that from 30th street.

If you get a hotel in Rittenhouse, get off the train at Suburban/Penn station and you can walk to your hotel in Rittenhouse.

Thanks redjam, that is what I am looking for. It may sound irrational to save $20 cab fare when one spends $100K on tuition. But very little saving helps :)

I hear ya... The worry of debt started getting to me this weekend too.

Now, if you want to save a couple of more bucks, you could get off at Suburban, walk to the adjoining trolley/subway station and jump on to a trolley ($2). That will get you right on campus but with a suitcase, I wouldn't recommend that one either.

Or a similar combination at 30th street and the subway, although the trolley gets you a couple of blocks closer.

I am a "first time crazy applicant" in for R3.

Trying to decide with all the waitlists from the previous rounds if R3 is relatively open or completely closed. Out of my hands either way, I guess.

Congrats to all the admits - looking forward to meeting you all during Welcome Weekend! FYI, even though the Wharton block in the Palomar is booked, you can still get other rooms in same hotel. It works out an extra $100 in the end for the three-night stay.

Have all the admitted students received an email from the Wharton adcom? I got the call and then the acceptance letter via the online application, however, haven’t heard anything else from the adcom. Not sure if I am being a paranoid.

Don't worry. There's no big UPS package coming in the near future. At Winter Welcome they told us we would receive a packet with all information about classes/enrollment in late May/early June. All you will get in the mail over the next couple of weeks is a copy of the acceptance letter online, although it was officially signed by Ankur. Also expect an email from financial aid over the next few weeks about loans. And once you are notified about the background check, start it ASAP as mine took over a month to complete as I kept having to go back-and-forth with the firm.

OK, Thanks for the update of mail notification. Can't imagine how things were before email. My recommender told me he actually had to wait for the post in the old days and most people didn't have cells then.

Did anyone else get an email from Wharton addressed to our interviewers noting our application status? Mine was clearly sent in error -- and later recalled. I'm not sure if this was a one-off incident or if this was part of a broader mistake. I was already dinged by the school, so the email just seemed like unnecessary pain.

first time poster, long time lurker. Is there a way to get feedback from W about Ding after interview?

Firsttime R2, 35 y, 760, 4.0 GMAT, indian, hi tech, good GPAs, great recs, alum int, good ECs.

Kind of confused about the ding. had a very solid application. i could search for answer to the ding in my 4.0 gmat but has been told by people that only verbal and quant scores matter. it is easy for me to pin my ding on age but I know W liberally admits many old applicants even from indian engineering pool.

Why do you think about retaking GMAT? You got 760 already.

I think that they might offer feedback for those waitlisted at the end of the process. But I haven't seen schools giving feedback to those rejected.

Thank you. Very lucky with my v/q scores, but AWA is 4.0 -does this score matter?

Not really. If you think about how the essays are graded (partially by computer) and the fact that they have samples of your writing (essays in your application), you realize how silly it is that the GMAT even has that component.

Congratulations to everyone admitted in R2!

I see the WL ranks have swelled again, so I am wondering what action (if any) WLers are taking to help themselves. Just curious.
