What should I do? Need advice

I got dinged from top schools on round 2 but thinking about submitting Wharton application for round 3...

Work in the wall street industry at one of the top banks - total work experience of 4-5years
GMAT: 690 (Q50)
GPA: 3.34 at top undergraduate business school

Round 2 was tough....I think we had a very strong group of candidates this year. If were you, I would re-evaluate my long term and short term goals. If a top-tier MBA still makes sense, then I would def apply to Wharton in R3, and perhaps as a backup re-apply this coming year in R1. Good luck!

I definitely do think it is worth for me for both short and long terms to go to Wharton but just lost confidence after getting dinged from other top schools in round 2. I really want to apply because I cannot wait a year to go but thinking back of what happened in round 2, I am just not sure. What would you do if you were me? Just apply?

IMHO GMAT & GPA seem slightly below average for Wharton. But maybe you have an amazing story that they'll like. You can try R3, and reapply next year if it doesn't work out

Thank you for your inputs. Yea I know my numbers are low and plus it is round 3 but I cannot wait a year to go to Wharton. I know for sure that going to MBA is worth for me and earlier the better. What would you do if you were me?

It could be a tough sell. You might as well apply round 1 next year and really take the time to put an app together rather than waiting until last minute. If for some reason you didn't get in this round, you'd be applying as a reapplicant next year, and they would see your app from this round...which could affect your chances. You might have a more well-rounded and thought out story/explanation of your career goals if you take more time to apply, which would make you a more attractive candidate.

Any international R3 candidate received a mail from Wharton?
It says that decisions for interview will be released on April 10 and if invited to interview we will have to travel to campus to meet a second year student before 24th April.

P.s. the subject line says Round one information

don't mind this dude... he is a bit of a club fraudster - he changes his schools all the time... deletes rejections, changes them to acceptances etc...can't believe what his schools say.. i think the only thing that is probably true.. is he was accepted ED to CBS and WL and wharton.

Looks like fellowship / scholarship information just came out on the portal. Anyone get good financial aid?

When are R2 deposits due? I'm guessing around April 20th?

4/30

W/your GSB and HBS acceptances if I were you I wouldn't worry too much....=P
