Received a list (online) of the 3 Wharton alumni doing interviews in my country. Emailed one last week regarding setting something up. Have yet to get a response. Naturally I know as soon as I try to e-mail another of the alumni, the first one will finally respond, and I'll have to reverse course on one of them. As far as I know the first one is waiting for the interview invite deadline to pass before he confirms anything. So this goes to show you what an 'early invite' gets you
I am going to be flying in on a Thursday night and flying out right after my interview on Friday. Would it be acceptable to stay at a hotel near the Philadelphia airport, given that I will be on campus for such a short period of time? From what I can tell, the campus is only about 7-8 miles away from the airport, so provided I leave enough time to get there Friday morning, I should be okay on time. Most of the hotels I have found downtown are much more expensive, and I’m not sure it makes sense to stay down there.
Ok some more stats....From around the same time last year, there were about 4 invites out of 20 applicants. 20% Right now we have 8 invites out of 40 ~ 20%
Last year, total R1 was 10 invites out of 20 apps 50% rate
Most of these came within 2 or 3 days of end of period.
So based on these numbers, we can expect about 12 more interviews to go out for gmatclub to hit that 50% mark.
