waitlisted. f...k..i know its better than a ding but dear god, it is pretty painful. does anyone have any idea of how many people are placed on the waiting list ? and of course, what percentage of those are accepted? anything? congrats of those accepted?

This year admission cycle looks to be horrendous, I am glad we applied to R1...
I thought many great people would get into many schools but it seems to be a bit hard these days...

i am going to worship anyone who cleans sweep H/W/S! :P

Agreed, from reading some old chats it seems pretty clear Wharton doesn't WL people unless they really have a shot of getting in. Hopefully with the rise of some schools (espec Booth) Wharton will get just a couple less acceptances than last year, and some of us will be on our way.

But either way, I have a lot of confidence for Columbia/Haas now and am definitely going to shoot for Kellogg R2.

ndia, ive been googling like crazy for exactly that with little luck. But it does seem like Wharton has a decent sized waitlist compared to other schools.

today has been a crazy day. first, my phone charger has not been working for the last 2 days, and my phone officially ran out of battery this morning. also, i have been driving the whole day, so this is my first time at the computer since about 10am. i just checked my email, got the status update, and figured it'd be a waitlist or ding because i didn't think my interview went that well.

end result: I am IN at Wharton. Time to pop some champagne!!

Rejected. not even waitlist.

So far 2 definite dings, 1 very very likely ding (HBS) and a forthcoming interview at Stern. Not what I had in mind when I started this process...

Congrats to those in though.

Wow! This is rough!

Although the apps are about 30% up this year, it seems that the possibility to get in is like 60% down. With so many strong candidates waitlisted it will take a very refined WL strategy to get accepted. Good luck to WL'ers and congrats to all the admits.

Congratulations to all admits.

Got dinged by Wharton. This really hurts after yesterday's ding from Chicago.

I knew I had a solid profile but maybe I was too much of a plain-vanilla finance background applicant to get accepted. Now I am realizing that an M7 school might not work out this year. It will be difficult because most colleagues ended up at M7s in prior years.

Its a tough decision between applying to the next layer of schools or reapplying next year.

In at Wharton!! Got the call at 9:30am PST 30 minutes before my Stanford interview. Very excited! Congrats to everyone that got in and best of luck to everyone that is still waiting.
