Maybe there will be an Admitted students thread soon so we don't clog up this one, but have anyone booked lodging for Winter Welcome yet? The Club Quarters is pretty close to the recommended Hotel Palomar and it's a little bit less expensive. There's places that are much less but not in Center City, which would probably be inconvenient for all the activities.

For R2 applicants, is everyone's status changed to "complete R2" now? One of my recommendations was just submitted yesterday (2 days after deadline), all other materials were in on time. The status today still only shows "submitted". So I'm worried for (a) how long it usually takes for the status to change (2) whether I'm out of R2 now.. :(

Thanks and good luck everyone!

You shd probably wait till Jan 28th - which is when all the processing would be completed. If your status is still only submitted, then you should check with the adcom folks. Till then sit tight. Hope you make it.

I bet most of these online apps have automated administration "tasks" that someone "runs" once in a while. The tasks probably check whether all parts of an application have been submitted or not -- if yes, mark Complete, etc..

It makes sense for them to run this task the night of 5th, which is why almost everyone who applied saw a "complete" just the very next day. You'll see a complete whenever someone runs this task again, I believe. Could be today, tomorrow, over the weekend. Hang in tight.

I wonder if there're any people from R1 whose recommendation letters were late for 2 days and still were counted in R1... just want to get more comfort from others' experience.

Now really worried...

I booked at the Club Quarters. Figured it was a block away from the other one an significantly cheaper.

Yeah, I ended up going for the Club Quarters too. With the high cost of tuition, every dollar counts now!

Hi guys. I have a question for the current Wharton students. I would appreciate any insight you could share.

How feasible is it to do a Healthcare/Finance double major plus a Lauder joint-degree? How much time would then be available to become involved in clubs and recruiting?

Thank you.

This is a tough one. Unless you are a super-charged ultra mega organized "minor genius", putting such a huge load on your plate will most certainly overwhelm and destroy you.

First, I do not think the school has the ability to provide Healthcare and Lauder together, although you could try and pioneer this combo.

Even if this were possible, you woudn't have any time for anything else. Although you have more control over how much you want to be involved in club activities, but recruiting takes a lot of time any way you look at it. Lauder on top of Wharton is an intense combination from the time management perspective.

Does anyone know when Wharton begins to send out interview invites? I have not received any information from them since submitting my apps.

Cheers.

You should have received an email from the admissions office after you submitted the app. This is what the email says regarding the interviews:

"The Admissions Committee will begin to release interview invitations on Tuesday, January 26th and will continue to release invitations on a daily basis until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, February 18th. Due to the nature and complexity associated with the admissions process there is no particular order in which invitations are released. Also on February 18th, the Committee will release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission."

You might want to check your junk folder or contact admission office if you haven't received this email.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they are good about sticking to their timelines when it comes to releasing interview invites and letting people know about final decision, with the exception of possibly calling accepted students before decision letters go out.

It's kind of nice to know that I don't need to start freaking out (too much) about Wharton before that. I will have plenty of time to lose my mind then :?
