Anyone else getting a little jittery? I feel like I'm going to be on pins and needles starting tomorrow since they will be releasing invites at any time between now and Feb. 18.

Eek!

Sorry I just had to vent :|

Well, all I know is that I refresh these forums literally every fifteen minutes or so, looking for hints that my applications should have been reviewed by now, or that it's too late to hope for an interview invite (even though most schools haven't even started releasing them yet), or that someone somehow got a secret tip from admissions committees that they're looking for someone with precisely my profile... It's too bad, really. Y'all are totally great and I love these forums, but if I weren't so obsessive about reading the posts, I would have totally forgotten that invites start going out tomorrow. I would have waited patiently until February 18 without a whit of anxiety...

Okay, maybe a whit or two of anxiety... but not like this!

Sorry to make you more nervous Aenigma!!!

When I got the Wharton e-mail with all the dates, I deliberately set a note to one after the original date to my calendar. So if I got an interview tomorrow it would have been a pleasant surprise and not a worried check of e-mails from 7am on. Oh well. Whatever happens happens. The only reason to check e-mail for me is to know as early as possible if I get invited so I can schedule the interview before slots run out.

Good luck, guys! I remember how stressful it was waiting for the interview invite. Just so you guys know, there REALLY is no need to stress until mid d-day...I am a rd 1 admit and I got my invite the day before mid d-day. When I met up with other rd 1 admits, I'd say that at least 50% of them got their invites within 3 days of mid d-day. Hope this will help you sleep a bit better. :)

i am a r1 admit and prepared for my interview using this:
https://www.clearadmit.com/wiki/index.ph ... nInterview

not sure about using a consultant for a mock interview, but i got the sense that wharton interviews are not make-or-break and they are more relaxed than some other schools so might not be worth it? i interviewed on campus with a 2nd-yr student and in addition to the predictable questions (why mba, why now, why wharton, resume walk-through, what do you do outside of work... i didnt get asked what i could contribute which i was surprised about), i got asked 2-3 behavioral type questions - talk about a time you had to deal with a challenging person, sorry can't remember the other 2 but they weren't too bad. good luck everyone!

Just checked, and my status still says "Complete." Was hoping to see an invite in the status. Wishful thinking, I know.

Haha. Tomorrow they can start with the invites at any time and I wouldn't be surprised if that happens comfortably late. No need to refresh at 9am. I also wonder if the e-mail system is fixed - I think last time people ended up finding out about their invites on the web site several hours before they got the e-mail.

Add me to the roll call for R2.

Long time reader (1 week) - first time poster.

Is it sad that I just refreshed the applyyourself website like 10 times a minute after midnight hoping that the next refresh would be just a little longer. Long enough to add a new line somewhere on that main page about an interview. Something that would give some semblance of comfort in place of this eerie glow of my laptop.

Having gone through all this anxiety in R1, I totally understand how it feels like to want to check your email/forum every 5 minutes.

Wharton will send interview invites to your email in addition to updating the status on applyyourself. There is no need to constantly refresh your applyyourself page

I got my email at just about the same time my status was updated.

Good point pilot.

Given that it is almost 10am and I haven't received one. I'm just going to take it easy now. If it comes great, if not, meh I need my beauty sleep anyways. :-D

Guys,

A little advice from a R1 admit:

I know there's a great temptation to check your status every idle moment, but these invites roll in over the course of like two weeks. You'll drive yourself mad if, at the end of every day in which you don't receive word, you take stock of your life and wonder where it all went wrong. Relax. Someone else correctly pointed out that the email comes in about an hour or so after the online status is updated. Wait for it to come to you.

Just like how some shopaholics freeze their credit cards in a block of ice in the fridge, make your password a series of random letters and put the log-in info in an inconvenient spot. Trust me. It'll help resist the temptation to constantly refresh and be a serious boon to your mental health and outlook on life.

All that said, GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!

Thanks, nola25 -- it's good advice. For an Eli, your reasoning is remarkably sound.
