Hey does anyone have any insight into whether it is harder to get a fellowship when you apply R2? Not that I necessarily think I'll get accepted or get a fellowship, I'm just curious if I should even hope for any $$ if I am so lucky as to get in :)

Also--it looked like there were people on BW who got admitted with fellowships who did not even write the fellowship essay...does that seem weird to you?

That's because they applied to the healthcare program. Everyone there got a small fellowship.

I just saw on the Wharton update over at the Clear Admit MBA Admissions Wiki that "meanwhile, many applicants who were waitlisted during Round 1 have developed waitlist strategies and have begun to put them into action." I'm was waitlisted in Round 1 and the letter I received clearly states that we are not to submit any additional information. Does anyone have any ideas as to what "waitlist" strategies these applicants could possibly be putting into action?

Been a long/passive follower of this forum and decided to write my first post here in case I can be of any help to you guys. So if you have any questions, fire ahead.

I'm a R1 Wharton admit. Did NOT write any of the fellowship essays, and was therefore really surprised to learn that I was awarded the 20K Joseph Wharton Fellowship in my acceptance letter. I'm still not sure of the criteria they used though, and don't dare ask them in case they take mine back lol

pilot - Congratulations! I heard from several people that most HCM candidates get small fellowships without applying but its great to see its not just HCM and that the fellowships are not always small :)
