Anyone want to try and meetup during the welcome weekend? I get into the city thursday night, and will be traveling by train fri morning (I've yet to check the train schedule but will be leaving in the morning). If your on the train just look for the guy studying for the CFA. (green level III stalla books). Pm me and we can exchange numbers etc, or set a general meeting time/place... 8-)

notified SOM of my decision to attend elsewhere. best to all the new admits/soon-to-be-students. if you're looking for a great place for beer and burgers, go to prime 16 (on temple?). it, no joke, is the best place to get a beer in new haven.

Nink - are you sure we'll be getting a standard laptop upon going to orientation? I was actually looking forward to getting a new laptop of my choice. That really blows. I was talking to one of the adcoms during the admit weekend and he said he wasn't sure about whether the standard laptop was for this year or next.

That's what they told me the last time I asked. I am sure they will update us before the orientation in August.
However, I already bought me a lighter, more mobile laptop regardless of Yale laptop. I can't carry a laptop that's more than 4 lbs around all day long.
