I don't see any feedback, maybe more will come later. After experiencing the App Review at Booth Live, I'm not sure where I went wrong on my app. Maybe they doubted my quant abilities with my low-ish Q score and no quant background.

The deny letter only shows this:
Quote:
Thank you for applying to Chicago Booth's Full-Time MBA Program. Your application has received the careful consideration of our Admissions Committee. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you admission to the Class of 2011.

The superb quality of this year's applicant pool presented the Admissions Committee with some difficult decisions. Three members of the Committee reviewed your application in its entirety before our decision was made. Applicants are evaluated on several criteria, including academic preparedness, professional achievements, communication skills, extracurricular/community involvement, leadership, self-awareness, understanding the value of the MBA experience, and fit with Chicago Booth.

We certainly appreciate the effort you put into this process, and we wish you every success as you continue to plan for your future.
Sincerely,

Rosemaria Martinelli

i got denied as well...no email yet though.

submitted on the 13th and went complete on the 15th.

also, i'm not sure but isn't there a typo in the deny letter - it says "we are unable to offer you admission to the Class of 2011." shouldn't it be 2012....?

Ha, I think it will take me at least a day to get over it... I'm not being too productive in the office right now. But I think it should give me the drive to really polish off my NYU app this weekend.

Thats the spirit Swank. I am having a lot of trouble focusing on my NYU app right now because of all this waiting/frequent email checking and that isnt a good thing because right now I know my essays 2 and 3 ... well suck.

Tough break on the dings people. I wish luck on all those interviewing.

But why don't they send an email letting you know?? This sucks..I will now spend the rest of the week hitting refresh on the app page

I didn't notice this earlier. Just went back in to look, and they've corrected it already.

Have you guys called the admissions office to confirm? It is strange that you wouldn't get an e-mail.

I don't intend to call - doesn't seem like an error to me.

I can understand your feeling man.
During Booth Live they gave profile of an I-Banker with 670 and told us that the profile's low VA score did not matter for an i/v call.

How I wish that was true!!!

Well, just went into Application Status and looks like I got dinged. :(

Good luck to everyone, I'll be peacing out of this thread...

Swank6,
All the best for your other apps. I just got a ding from LBS and i can truly understand how it feels :(
The problem is not with failure, but on realizing that we weren't fit at that level and makes one wonder about one's own standard :(

Somehow, i have lost hope in Chicago as well :( Because my GMAT score is only 700, way below Class 2011 average...
