760/IT/5 yrs/average undergrad scores/Good essays(so I believed:-()

Oh how I wish I had taken my undergrad more seriously.
Anyways its surprising that there have been no Interview invites on any of the forums today. I think there is still hope. It'll be exciting to get an invite on Wednesday morning when all you can think of is the dreaded ding.

Best of luck people!!

You guys are giving up way too early. Last year I think I got my invite the day before the deadline. Don't give up yet and just to give you some confidence there were about 9 on campus days available to interview with many time slots each day.

Don't throw in the towel yet.

i just read a post that said your interview invite was received on nov 10, 2008. last year the deadline was nov 12. so really your interview was received two days before. i agree it's probably too early since official results aren't released until wednesday but last year's thread isn't too encouraging.

Just popping back in here. You should take comfort in the fact that if you log in now and it doesn't say Deny yet, you must still be in contention, since there are at least a few of us on here that have official dings. Sounds like no news has really come out today, so there's gotta be a final wave of invites still due out. Good luck! :)

Last year there were tons of invitations on the 10th, this haven't been the case this year. Almost no interviews since Friday.

I will keep refreshing my mailbox- haven't given up hope yet- I thought I had good essays and a good profile (and no ding in my application status....)
good luck all

I bet you the same people on business week are the same people here.

So no calls there, no calls here either :-) We're driving ourselves mad.

Anyone start thinking about re-applying to Chicago ? :-)

My interviewer said there was a record number of R1 apps for Chicago Booth this year.

Based on my interview, I can also confirm that passion for learning and intellectual debate are key to Chicago's criteria. They really do want 'ideas' people, creative people. If you read the 'naming of the school' section it gives a lot of clarity into the kind of environment they are trying to foster.

No interview invite yet. (checked even the SPAM folder :))
My status still reads as "Complete".

Does Booth give individual feedback to the applicants after a ding or a generic mail?

Thanks,

sapphireka: Where is "the naming of the school" section? Are you referring to the Booth webpage? Good tips for the interview..

I drove myself crazy last night ... being in Asia meant that I had to wake up a few times in the middle of the night to check my e-mail and the Gmatclub thread ... hopefully the interview wave should be coming soon...
Good luck to everyone!

Haha, that's impressive dedication! Still a few hours before work starts in Chicago to torture yourself some more!

I'm in the same boat but my expectations are pretty low at this point. Good luck anyway though!
