W is for Waitlisted.

Also - completely agree on the Haas app system. It's a piece of crap. MIT's is not much better either. Wharton was pretty awful too.

I think Stanford had the best. HBS and Kellogg were solid too.

Maybe I should start a blog critiquing application backend systems...

Oh well. Kellogg it is then! Pretty excited. Should be an awesome, eye-opening experience. Also a wallet opening experience. Now I gotta figure out how to fund this beast!

Speaking of anomalies...

This is a little late, but did anyone else have trouble submitting/saving their application as they wanted it to read/present?

I found the Berkeley application to be the most arduous and error laden of all the schools where I submitted an application.

The word counts for the fields on the application differed significantly from MS-Word counts. Fields failed to save important information and filled in "0" instead of actual numbers/values.
Also, I don't recall a space in the application for achievements, awards, and the like.

Wishing this all would have turned out differently for the dinged among us.

You think that being the #1 school in CompSci would mean one of your students could set up a decent User Interface. MIT is also tied for #1 and it is only marginally better.

Agreed on all of the above. My feeling is that is a public university thing. I live in Sacramento, and my client's experience with the application reminds me of dealing with government entities. In particular, their inferior proprietary software.

Mine was working fine until just a minute ago... now seeing the same error message described above.

I don't mean to be dismissive, but why are you even sweating when you are accepted to HBS? Haas is an exceptional school, but HBS is on a totally different level.

My boyfriend's looking at grad school in CA, so would be nice to have some overlap :)

Because helenrez is smart. She understands life and success are about much more than what school you attend. People like her tend to do amazing things regardless of school. That goes for everyone. You just gotta believe in yourself more. B-school is not the greatest investment you can make. You are your greatest investment and asset, by far.

For the WLers, you might have one slot opening up for you. I'm still in the decision process but am strongly considering a more "inferior" school as my top slot because I know I'll kick ass regardless of where I go.

Haha, yeah, no idea who that was, but I have a few choice words for them.

Waitlist is still not a ding, so I'm ok. I really do wonder if it was my failure to heed instructions on submitting transcripts that did me in. I think I'll stick with that story as it is funny and dumb on many levels.

But yeah, looks like Booth for me. Good luck riding it out manbear. I hope you get one of those coveted spots. You'll be able to reach your goals in either Cali school though, I'm sure of it.

All - I must say. It has been a pleasure sailing this ship with you. Maybe it's the vodka tonic I just downed but I really think this has been an amazingly supportive, warm and non-judgmental community. All of us will do brilliant things, regardless of where we are admitted or not. CHEERS!

waitlist. However, being a fan of economics and development I will accept Harvard Kennedy School's MPA/ID offer with full ride and will apply to one of the partner stanford/wharton/mit mba programs during the first year if still inclined.

GL to all waitlist guys!

WL here as well! :) at least this supports my self-esteem :)

I see a lot of WL's here, sometimes I feel that Gmat club community is much better than the real group of applicants and it seems that 50% of people gets waitlisted, but I suppose this must be a good achievement in reality...

What do you think the probabilities of being accepted from the WL are? I saw in a website that it is only 4% for Haas :S.
https://www.mbadataguru.com/blog/admissi ... rate-rank/

In my case I suppose my weakness is my Gmat... only 690... However, I have so much work to do that I am not sure I would have time to get better score... Should I go for it?

Thanks a lot mates!
