Interviews done. Went tougher than I thought, quite probing questions.
They did put me off slightly in regards to the grading structure and third language requirements.

Waiting game begins...

Also finished my interviews.

Both were around 1 hour long, 1/3 in English and the rest in Portuguese.

The questions were very similar too:

1st interview: tell me about yourself, why MBA, accomplishment, failure, international experience, application to other schools or not, questions

2nd interview: walk me through your resume, accomplishment, international experience, why MBA, why INSEAD, application to other schools or not, questions

No feedbacks were given and I'm pretty anxious. :?

Cheers.

Did both interviews, ans they were VERY conversational. Very informal, very friendly, no probing questions at all, not even a behavioral one. I think it's mostly because of the local culture.
Both interviews lasted 30 minutes - don't know whether it's good or bad. Neither of the alumni was close to my profile - one partner from McKinsey and one head of retail at an international bank.
I was pleased by both guys and can tell you that my enthusiasm about the school definitely became much stronger after the meetings.

Best of luck to everyone who hasn't yet done all the interviews and fingesr crossed foк the 6th of December! :)

Now are lasting probably the worst 3 weeks of my life. I do really want to get into INSEAD. Ross is my very remote number two.. hope Insead will sense that somehow :)

Both interviews over. The wait begins.... :)

Fun fact: McKinsey recruits the second highest number of consultants on-campus from INSEAD. (MIT sneaks into the first place by a whisker!).

Hi guys,

Just wondering. All of you who are getting interviewed, you have applied for R1 right?
Because R2's deadline is in 7 days, so I guess you can't get interviews notifications before that.

Beleza?

Also been interviewed and the meetings resembled your description.

No more nails left to bite due to immense anxiety.

Best,

Finished interviewing for INSEAD about a week or so ago. One interviewer is quite young compared to the other (just graduated in 2006). Both interviewers have direct knowledge of my sector so they were able to ask very specific questions regarding my current/past work exp as well as gauge feasibility of my career goals post MBA. Tough but fair interviews -- with a fair bit of casual conversation. Feeling good so far, but we will have to wait and see!

R2 deadline is fast approaching. Who else is spending sleepless nights like me writing (and re re writing) essays?

I am glad I sent my recommenders links in advance though. One of them has already submitted his reco!

I am in the process of applying to INSEAD R2. My essays and Recommendations are done. I am applying for the first time but in the application form, I have accidentally selected that I have applied before. Now, I am unable to remove the field. All I can do is switch from September to January and back. In case anybody has faced a similar issue please hep me find a solution to remove the selection.

Completed both interviews a while ago. Really stoked about the program. I was blown away by how truly international INSEAD is. I look at places like HBS and Stanford, and they talk a good game about how international they've become... but the facts don't lie, and they're still mainly looking for GMAT/GPA/McKinsey or Bain combinations, monolingual or not. INSEAD walks the talk. Sure, it's still "McKInsead", but if you aren't fluent in two languages and willing to speak a third, don't bother applying.

I think there is an application support related email address (starting with 'ethryl ... ) within the application (in the first few instruction pages). That should be your best bet. Drop a note to those guys asap.

I opened my mailbox and found two messages from INSEAD. That is earlier than I expected.

But.. don't worry - once I calmed down, I found out these are newsletters about scholarships and upcoming events :)

Hi,

Nop, we shouldn't expect to hear from INSEAD before 1 to 2 days before the deadline (at best). [cf my post on Nov 21st] So presumably, if things go as they did in the previous admissions, none of us of R1 should get any news before the 14th or the 15th...

hi friends

help me please, i am applying in R@ for september intake , will complete my application in two days, i have not applied in Insead as five colleges while giving GMAT.
it is written on website that "A copy of your unofficial score report is sufficient for us to begin evaluating your file. "
does that mean , we need not apply to insead through Pearson till they dont give us an interview call.?

please say
