khulluskywalker I remember reading that you can upload the transcripts only after the application fees has been paid.
So in case of fee waiver, I guess we might have to wait longer to be able to upload the transcripts.

I was just thinking about the same thing! This would lead to more delay. I guess we should still drop a mail to adcom, just for mental satisfaction and to avoid any last minute heartburns

Just got an email that there’s an admissions chat even all day today to address last minute questions. Perfect place to clarify I guess

Hi Guys,

I spoke to adcom about GIAC uploading and implications from fee waiver waiting period. Here is what they said:

Yes, we are only supposed to upload the transcripts on GIAC once the fee waiver has been processed, which will take anywhere between 5 and 10 days. Waiting this long to upload transcripts won't have any negative consequences on our application overall or the interview decision. If you guys also want to check this, do use teh chat link and let me know if you get more clarity on this.

khulluskywalker - No negative impact meaning that the applications will be considered under Round 1 itself right?

Yupp. I would request if you can also check the same thing with them once bro, about timelines and R1 eligibility. Would be a double confirmation… mental satisfaction 😅

I tried but the link just shows a Waiting room. I have sent them an email. Should hopefully hear back soon.

Application Fee Payment: Your application fee will be available for payment within three business days of submitting your application. Your application is considered "on time" if submitted by the deadline, regardless if the fee is paid on that date. However, your application will not be evaluated if you do not pay the fee once it is due. To pay the fee log onto your GIAC MyStatus and pay the application fee.

i saw somebody mentioning how fee payment link would prompt just after submitting but nothing sort of this happened with me and neither does the above message justify it, any thoughts?

My only apprehension is what is the due date for payment on GIAC. Did you try accessing the chat link? My only worry is on getting late with uploading transcripts, which as of now I’ve been told not to worry about.
