i just wanted to ask is it okay to ask adcom about my application status? It is still showing as complete and under review. I submitted my application on Dec 20th. still haven't heard anything from them. All these discussions just making me anxious .
Yes, it is usually okay to contact the admissions committee to ask about the status of your application. In fact, many schools encourage applicants to reach out to them if they have any questions or concerns.
It is not uncommon for the application review process to take some time, especially if the program is highly competitive or has a large number of applicants. However, if you are concerned about the status of your application and have not heard anything from the school for an extended period of time, it may be helpful to reach out to the admissions committee to get an update.
When you reach out to the admissions committee, be polite and professional in your email or phone call. Introduce yourself and provide your application ID or other identifying information. Express your interest in the program and ask if there is any information they can provide regarding the status of your application.
Remember that admissions committees receive a large volume of emails and phone calls, so it may take some time for them to get back to you. However, if you don't hear back within a reasonable timeframe, you can follow up politely to inquire about the status of your application.
Overall, it is important to stay positive and patient during the application process. Good luck with your application!
