Similar to everyone else, I am waiting for the Santa’s email. Wanted their offer so much... I didn't, and am not interested to apply for other schools... I don't know if the passion underneath my application looks too common as compared to other applicants? I thought I wrote it wholeheartedly and it truly represented my tone. * mumble mumble mumble*

dude/dudette,
I applied to only Stanford too. Now I am kicking myself for that. All that passion etc were also part of my app. I am feeling dejected for being 0 for 1 this app season

You do have the chance to apply else where either this year or next year. There are schools that provide very similar opportunities as stanford and have much great acceptance rates.
When I started looking at schools, one school I had no interest in actually was one of the three I applied to. One of my favorite schools initially I decided not to apply to because I realized the fit was all wrong. I suggest you research and visit other schools, there is going to be one that fits your goals and personality. Yes it may not have the brand name Stanford has, but there is nothing beyond that, that is totally unique to Stanford.
yeah, dahcrap, you should take a look at some other schools. Schools similar to Stanford, and only missing in brand name (everything else is excellent) include Haas and UCLA if you want to do entrepreneurship, tech management, or general management.
Kellogg and Chicago are also great schools for brand name and education.

Add MIT if you are willing to go to the east coast. Tuck if you are willing to go rural.
Ross also has a great program and name in most parts of the country.
This sure doesn't make me hopeful about my R2 chance. Not that I ever was.

That is the attitude to have with respect to a Stanford application. I think there are very very very few sure bets who apply to stanford. There are certain profiles that almost guarantee you a spot at HBS, but the same can't be said for Stanford. Sure if you were employee number 17 at google and worked your way up to management then you are probably going to walk in but everyone else is going to have a hard climb.
yes, Stanford is a strange creature, and I fully understand why many applicants are turned off (or on) by their "strangeness" in the application and admit criteria.
Unfortunately, those of us on this thread are foolish enough to give it a try, even if the chances are probably lower than winning the state lottery.
We WILL get one GMATClubber in this year, that's our goal!!!
