Hi,
I want to do MBA in operations management. My goals post-MBA is working in an operations consulting position.
My target schools are ---
- MIT sloan LGO - Stretch
- Ross
- Tepper
- ISB
- Krannet
- Kelley
- Fisher
- Georgia Tech
- Smeal
Background.
29 years old; Indian; Male
WE
- 5 years of work ex in Quality assurance Manufacturing/automotive industry
- Have some good certifications Six Sigma Black belt from ASQ, Lead Auditor ISO9001, ISO14001, PMP
- Have Lead 4-5 six sigma and Lean projects in the company with significant financial returns
GPA
- Have done MSc in Hong Kong from a reputed Institute - 73% (Topper in class with Distinction)
- B tech Mechanical Engineering from non-IIT/not so highly ranked institute - 68.3% (Have 2 backlogs too in first year - as the papers were set hard and many people failed in these at that time) (Marks are approx around 68.3% in each of the 4 years)
- - Have one year gap between completed B Tech and job as it was time for recession and cannot find a job after declining offer from campus placement (as it was in construction sector) - I wanted to go in automotive operations - I did some social work in this time and prepared for some exams
- X & XII - 81% & 80%
GMAT: 750
Languages - Hindi
Extracurricular:
- Mentored students at undergraduate and organized some technical events so that students can gain practical experience apart from theoretical knowledge
- Organised many events such as - quality day, environment day and safety day at work
