Just one question.
Do you think my chances are going to be better this year in round 2 or next year (when I have one year experience as Economic Adviser). The thing is that I will also be one year older. Isn't it great disadvantage to be 32 year old when I apply?

Quite interesting, indeed.

With your current GMAT, your chances at your target schools are poor, but not non-existent. Get it close to or above 700 and your chances improve dramatically at all the programs.

If you would like help with your MBA application, please keep Accepted in mind.

Best,

Very good question. Anyone reading your app (or certainly interviewing you) will see that you will have at matriculation close on one year of experience working in the president's office. Given that experience, I think you will already have learned a lot and gotten a boost to your candidacy from this position. As you suggest, your age is or will start working against you. I am not sure that any advantage from the additional experience in the president's office will offset the disadvantage of being a year older. My personal recommendation would be to apply this year, if possible. You can always reapplyif you are not accepted this year.

Best,
Linda
