It looks like you have another software that uses the "Nalpeiron Licensing solution". Possibly Nitro PDF.

Open the task manager and kill all the NLSSRV32.exe processes right before the install. After this, try installing as admin as before.

Don't forget to call/email the GMAC support.

Did it work? Let us know how you got the problem fixed.

Another thing to try would be to stop Nitro to run from startup or uninstall it completely. You can reinstall Nitro after GMATPrep is installed.

I installed GMATPrep last night and there was no issue for me.

I had the same problem on a Windows 7 64bit machine.
I also had installed Nitro PDF Professional.

Steps to make it work:
1. Uninstall Nitro PDF Professional
2. Make sure that the Nalpeiron Licensing Service is gone (Right click on "Computer"->Manage->Services and Application->Services and see if you find it in that list.)
3. If it is not gone, you have to remove it using the command prompt entering the following command:
"sc delete nlsX86cc"
That will delete the service and consequently allow GMATPrep to install successfully.

Hope this helps,
Kevin

There is a new version of the software, that fixed the Integrated Reasoning scoring problem. I guess you can try that.

Make sure that you run the command prompt as an Administrator.
Right click on the command prompt and click "Run as Administrator".

That should do it.

If you don't have Administrator rights, talk to your domain administrator and let him do it.
If all that doesn't work and you only have 3 days left (according to your PM): Just install it on any other machine that had never been running Nitro and don't waste any more time :-)

GMAT Prep all the sudden crashed and I cannot access it I receive a variety of errors of why it is not able to open. I've tried to re-install and everything, its simply doesn't work. I reached out to GMAT Prep on Tuesday and I have heard nothing. Why can't we call these people?????? I find it frustrating that you pay $250 to take a test, supplement packs, and the cost of books but they provide crap software with barely any customer support.

Isn't it ironic that these people run the exam for business school when they have NO CLUE how to run a business?
