Speed of Car A = A
Speed of Car B = B
Now, from 1:30 pm to 3:15 pm, the time is constant. Let the distance from the meeting point to the destination be D
So, Speed \(\propto \) Distance
\(\frac{A}{B} =\frac{D}{D-35}\)

Next, the time taken by car B to complete the journey is 1.25times the time taken by car A
Here, Distance is constant.
So, Speed \(\propto \) \(\frac{1}{Time}\)

\(\frac{A}{B} =\frac{1.25}{1}\)
\(\frac{A}{B} =\frac{5}{4}\)
\(\frac{D}{D-35} = \frac{5}{4}\)
5D - 175 =4D
D=175 miles
time =(3:15 -1:30) =1:45 =7/4 hr
Speed of A=175*4/7 =100 mph
