I am just starting with GMAT preparation and want to get into good B School. But my academic profile is not very impressive. Please let me know the chances of getting admission if i get a decent score in GMAT.
Graduation: CPG 8.1 from YPR college (Local engineering college)
Work Experience: 3 Years as Software Engineering in Wipro and currently working in Accenture.
Please let me know the chances of getting into a good B School if i score 680+ in GMAT.

It's not just your academics that influence the admission to the B-School. GMAT score, work experience, you extra curricular activities, your application essays etc., play a vital role in the entire admission process.
However try getting a good score in your GMAT because that is your first requirement for shortlisting the B-Schools https://goo.gl/TqFWKY.

Well, you can get into good Bschools even without an impressive academic profile. But then the schools will be looking for something else to make up for it. Like strong work experience, great extra curriculars, lots of volunteerwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership and so on. Just because you didn't get a degree from IIT doesn't mean you can't go to a Good Bschool (although it may make Top 10 schools tougher).
