Linda,
Here are my stats:
GMAT: 670
GPA: 3.17 from top 25 school (economics major)
Work Experience: 2 years investment banking, 2.5 years investment management.
Extra Curricular: Involved with 2 community organizations. Help run family business (real estate).
Can you please let me know what are my chances of getting into the following schools? Is there anything I can do to improve my chances? I know my scores are below the average, but I was hoping my work exp would counterbalance that. Thank you!
1) Northwestern
2) Chicago
3) UCLA
4) UC Berkeley
5) Dartmouth
6) U. Penn
7) Columbia
8) Stanford
Unless you have diversity elements in your profile and despite your solid work experience, I am afraid your academic stats are going to hurt you at the above top schools. You need to raise your GMAT significantly or raise it moderately and earn As in recent courses to have a competitive chance at these schools.
