I actually experienced this with one of my clients, and it was fortunate that she's applying to Ross Cornell and CMU all schools that only require one letter. So we are actually focusing on only schools that require one letter. Dropped Darden and added Texas. Truthfully the best bet is to find a peer at this point who you are friends with and can work very openly with. You will want to at least outline a specific example if not write it out and then have your peer rewrite it in their own words. This latter option definitely not optimal but it has to be done sometimes. can't let this lady stand in the way of your dreams. Then you can address in the optional area why you've chosen a peer and I think that the story is provided here is perfectly acceptable and totally believable
