Hi Kesanova20,
I apologize for the delayed response as we were slightly bombarded the past few months and things are now settling down a bit.
Thank you for your patience and for sharing your acceptance details as I enjoyed reading it similar to when I worked with candidates in the admissions office at a top tier.
First and foremost - I would like to first congratulate you on your ability to be accepted by Cornell and considered as a waitlisted candidate at other excellent academic institutions. To be accepted to any business school is not an easy task nor can it be underestimated by any means. If you have not made a decision yet, my answer is to attend Cornell if you have to make the decision now.
I say this because there are several factors that you should consider since you are spending the next 2 years as part of the business school and will become a life-long member of the community. You are absolutely correct in the brand of Yale and Cornell. Although Fuqua and Ross are also strong programs, you are buying a strong overall institution brand so you must weigh the options closely. I recommended Cornell since it will give you a strong overall brand as part of your portfolio. Remember, you will be making a new (brand) investment to further enhance your academic and professional identity. A brand that will attach itself to your name and become a part of your professional reputation in future endeavors. The school will also give you an opportunity to increase your network across a larger diverse pool of students, alums, faculty members and recruiters.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need further guidance. We have worked with many candidates who approached us after they were waitlisted, so do not hesitate to let us know.
I hope this helps you and congratulations once again from the entire MAC Team!
Best wishes,
Sue and the MAC Team
