Prac1 was
Verbal 20
23 Percentile

Type Correct InCorrect

Prac 2 is
Verbal 21

Why is the score just increased by 1 while I have got 6 more right? I have Q47 FYI, I want to improve on verbal have just 2 weeks.

I think you need to share the pattern of incorrect question . Since GMAT test algorithm ,which is a black-box to outside , punishes with consecutive number of wrong answer choice , what is matters is to force the algorithm to post higher difficulty level question during the exam. That can be done only with series of correct answer in a consecutive manner ..

In your case there may be the scenario that you got correct more questions that were easy . Point to analyse is why you got easy questions at the first place . Did you commit more mistakes in the 1st 12 question or were you left more than 5 to 7 question in the exam or any other case .

Here is list of correct and incorrect

Hi nileshmkumar,

It’s important to understand that your GMAT score is based on not only the number of questions you answer correct/incorrect, but also the difficulty of those questions, among other things. So the reason why your score did not increase by more than 1 point is because you likely got a few “lower level” questions wrong. If you have any other questions or need any more advice, feel free to reach out. Good luck!

Hi nileshmkumar,

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize - and it takes into account more than just the number of correct and incorrect answers.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When is your exact Official Test Date?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
