Hi, does anyone know how many people get off the waitlist? I saw on previous threads that some people got admits in May/June - that would be too late for international candidates imo.
A good no. of applicants get waitlisted by Tepper but only a meaningful number of candidates do get admitted but the percentage is low. There is no exact data on the waitlist acceptance rates, it varies each year based on the applicant pool and the availability of seats. Once on the waitlist, the adcom continuously reviews applications, checking for any new developments such as improved test scores or good achievements, so it’s crucial to remain proactive, engaged with the adcom showcasing fit and growth.
It's a long process and may also take approx. 2-3 months (applicants also get wailisted twice/ Admitted). Please note that the wait time can vary and largely depends on the dynamics of the applicant pool. You can reach out to the admissions office to inquire about expected timelines. While May/June admits may be late for international candidates, they do consider on working on some arrangements with waitlisted admits on visa timelines when possible. If you’re genuinely committed, you have to show your flexibility.
You can try searching for applicants through
decision tracker too.
Good luck!
