HeFe, Really bummed to hear the news. How did you get the update? Did they send you an email?

Looks like adcom is active today. I hate feeling like I am waiting for a hand delivered letter from the government.

Yes man, they sent me an email saying "There is a status update to your application to Columbia Business School.

Please log into your status page to view this update" Then I logged in and there was a new link "view update" I clicked on and I saw their final decision "we are unable to offer you admission"

J-Term admit here. Initially I intended to apply for Fall 2012, Adcom decided to offer me an admission for Spring term 2013, therefore I was notified about the decision since April. I'm keen to get to know more about J-termers out here and I wish you all the best through application process. :-D :-D

I wouldn't read too much into it yet. Very few people submit their applications in June/July even with the rolling admissions. Those who have heard it seems like have all been dinged, which tells you the ad comms knew right away that this person didn't fit what they are looking for. If you haven't heard then I would assume that to mean they like your profile but are waiting to see some more applications come in to compare it against.
