One question: they send 3 names can we choose whom we contact first? anyone has any idea? because on the internet they said you can but in the status page it says:
"To schedule your interview, you should reach out via email to the first Ambassador on the above list. "

I received notification as well. I am going to start at the top of the list as the status page suggests.

I looked up the interviewers on LinkedIn and found one in my industry. It went well as we had a lot to talk about. I don't think that my interviewer was the first person on the list, however, but it didn't seem to be an issue. (I can't recall if that message about order was even there when I applied). Just a thought!
Question for those who received interview invites: did your status change on the CBS application page, to "complete" or to "interview invite"? Just wondering if we should expect any indication there or if we're going to be perpetually in the dark about where our applications are in the process...

When the status changes, it will be obvious on your status page. It doesn't provide a "phase". Just a new link providing info on scheduling an interview. That, and you'll receive an email.
Slightly off topic, but are there any Indians here who are applying CBS? I was so intent on applying CBS but found that they don't offer loans to International students without a US co-signer. And I can not afford to finance it on my own even with 20Lakh loans from Indian banks. So just wanted to ask how are other fellow applicants planning to fund the MBA at CBS?

Unfortunately, there isn't much option other than either find a US co-signer (US citizen) or find alternate sources of funding. It is only Columbia from the top 10 schools that requires this (not to mention that Columbia is easily the most expensive top b-school). It is definitely not encouraging for International students.
Yup! Even in alternate source of funding, there isn't much option unless you have some parental property and are willing to collateralize it for a loan from HSBC-GSC option. Sadly, I have given up on CBS!It was my 1st option in the list of school with Finance focus and probably more doable than a Wharton/Booth!
I don't think so. Is it that they were funding last year and are not doing so this year? Then may be yes. Else its more to do with financial world's problems!
