Random question for those who have been accepted to the J-Term 2013:

Do you know when the orientation is? Do you know when classes start? I'm wondering because it's already mid-October and to find an apartment in the city and to complete all the other things that need to get done before classes start will take some time. I'm just curious and couldn't find that information on CBS's website.

My timeline:

Submitted ED 9/17
Invited to Interview 10/1
Interviewed 10/13 (after not receiving responses from my first three Ambassadors)
Interview feedback submitted 10/13

My profile:

GMAT: 740
Undergrad GPA: 3.54 (Engineering)
WE: 4 years of very unique engineering experience (underwater, diving, marine focus)

Hoping for that phone call soon!

Question for those of you who were already interviewed: did you actually receive an email indicating that your application was "complete?" I received the status update email when my Ambassador submitted his report, and the status simply stated that my application review would now move to the next stage.

I did a pretty comprehensive interview debrief a few pages back, won't repeat it here. But just in general, I was pretty surprised that my interviewer was a good deal more formal than most of the others that have been mentioned.

Stats: Female, Asian
GMAT: 770 (49Q, 48V, 8 IR, 6.0 AWA)
GPA: 3.74 from HYP
Work experience: applied to the three-year JD/MBA program, straight from undergrad (but good leadership and entrepreneurial experience in undergrad)

So I got the call this morning. Needless to say I'm thrilled! Columbia was my first and only choice for business school, and I didn't even apply anywhere else, so I took a big risk.

Apparerently, Columbia tried to call me last week, and I missed it (I found that hard to beleive because I've pretty much had my phone with me everywhere I go but anyway...). So I actually got an email fom the admissions office telling me to call as soon as possible. So I called them back right away not knowing what to expect, and they told me their happy to offer me a spot in next years class!!!

Status update that Interview sheet was received 10/4

ADMITTED to J-TERM on 10/15
