Is anyone who applied mid-september still waiting to hear back? I can't help but think that no response for a month+ is a pretty negative indicator.

Stats

Applied: 9/18
GRE: 95th/97th
GPA: 3.5

People may have been hearing back in 2 - 2.5 weeks recently, but that doesn't mean you should consider yourself dinged already. Some people heard back back post-interview a day or two after the feedback was submitted, while others heard back a good two weeks afterwards.

BTW, why did you take the GRE instead of GMAT? Are you considering other non-MBA graduate programs as well? (I also applied with a GRE score)

Thanks for the quick response! I took the GRE in 2011 when I thought about other programs, and figured it wasn't worth taking the GMAT with those scores (hope it doesn't count against me). What about you?

I took GRE many years ago to enter another master's program in engineering. Like you, I figured it wasn't worth taking the GMAT again.

With your crazy percentiles, it won't count against you. :-D

Just so I don't drive myself crazy, can we take a quick poll of those who submitted their apps in the last couple of days before the deadline (say, 9/30 - 10/2). I saw upthread that at least one person received an interview invite -- if that's the only invite I will calm myself down but I'm not clear if there are others. Has anyone else been asked to interview? How many of us are still waiting to hear?

What type of masters did you do/what engineering and consulting? Are you doing an MBA to shift industries

I applied on the 1st of Oct, and I am yet to hear from them. Feeling a little dizzy though, because the general perception is that they tend to dish out invites to high gpas/gmats (or atleast that's what a few guys mentioned in this forum). I do have a decent gmat, but haven't heard anything back, which is starting to drive me up the wall a lil bit.

I applied at around 5pm EST on the 2nd of October...haven't heard anything back yet...

I wonder if there was a huge influx of applications on the 2nd of October..

Anybody get any surprising interview questions?

Not necessarily a "surprising" question, but other than the "Walk me through your resume" and "Share an instance where you had to deal with a difficult team member," my interviewer spent the rest of the time grilling me on why I wanted to change careers (VC to consulting), how viable my long term goal was and about my role at my current company. It was super fast and intense... and I definitely felt myself sweating a little bit.

Did you hear of many ED applicants getting money? Seems counterintuitive to receive a scholarship after committing.
I understood the money was a means to sweeten the deal for candidates deciding between a couple schools.

It seems counter-intuitive but yes, many ED applicants received scholarship money. Maybe we didn't get as much money as somebody they were really trying to woo from other schools but you can still get a decent amount of money.
